Tupacs Poems
IN THE EVENT OF MY DEMISE
In the event of my Demise
when my heart can beat no more
I Hope I Die For A Principle
or A Belief that I had Lived 4
I will die Before My Time
Because I feel the shadow's Depth
so much I wanted 2 accomplish
before I reached my Death
I have come 2 grips with the possibility
and wiped the last tear from My eyes
I Loved All who were Positive
In the event of my Demise

FALLEN STAR
4 Huey P Newton
They could never understand
what u set out 2 do
instead they chose 2
ridicule u
when u got weak
they loved the sight
of your dimming
and flickering starlight
How could they understand what was so intricate
2 be loved by so many, so intimate
they wanted 2 c your lifeless corpse
this way u could not alter the course
of ignorance that they have set
2 make my people forget
what they have done for much 2 long
2 just forget and carry on
I had loved u forever because of who u r
and now I mourn our fallen star

AND 2MORROW
Today is filled with anger
fueled with hidden hate
scared of being outcast
afraid of common fate
Today is built on tragedies
which no one wants 2 face
nightmares 2 humanities
and morally disgraced
Tonight is filled with rage
violence in the air
children bred with ruthlessness
because no one at home cares
Tonight I lay my head down
but the pressure never stops
knawing at my sanity
content when I am dropped
But 2morrow I c change
a chance 2 build a new
Built on spirit intent of Heart
and ideals
based on truth
and tomorrow I wake with second wind
and strong because of pride
2 know I fought with all my heart 2 keep my
dream alive

The Rose That Grew From Concrete
by Tupac Shakur
Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature's law is wrong it learned
to walk with out having feet. Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live
the rose that grew from concrete when no one else ever cared.
Poems About Tupac
A Poem About Tupac
by J. Hilton
Only God Can Judge 2pac... Black man, Black boy, Prince, Thug, Revolutionary, Symbol. They only see
your tattoos, jewelry, and body language. They only hear your vulgar words, defiant messages, and your unavoidable
controversy. They see your life as a threat, they comment "chickens came home to roost." They blame you for violence
in America, they pour disgust on you and point the finger at you for problems in our families.
Black man, Black boy, Prince, Thug, Revolutionary, Symbol. We see you as the dark truth they are scared
to accept. We see you as the voice we sometimes could not find. We see you as a young Malcolm X. Alcohol, drugs, women
and prison consumed you, as it did Brother Malcolm. Yet those that knew you, knew you were on the way out, you
had seen the light and moved toward it. We felt your pain, so similar to ours. We felt your frustration, so similar
to ours. We felt your anger, so similar to ours. You are an unavoidable realness. To Generation X, as they describe
it, you are a 1996 Elvis, John Lennon, Jimi Hendricks, Sammy Davis, Ella Fitzgerald. Those that don't know, may never
know. Those that do know, truly know that... Only God Can Judge You!
To my Brotha, rest in peace, I'll never forget what you said.

At the Age of 25
Written By: Bobby E. Negret, © 1997
I still remember that day... Fall was well on its way. It began in an ordinary way no different than today.
I popped in a CD and let it play. I listened to what you had to say. I slumped back in my couch, resting in a
slouch. I absorbed as much as I could and fell into your groove.
Time progressed and before long nightfall was
coming along. I could barely see the light But it was holding on with all of it's might. My session was complete,
a sample of your inspiration was a treat.
As my stereo fell silent and my crystal ball came to life. That is how
it all began, too much for me to understand.
An idol to me how could this be?
At the age of 25, caught in
the middle of genocide. At the age of 25, I assumed it was a homicide. At the age of 25, I too can see through your
eyes. At the age of 25, yes, you should still be alive.
The streets we shared gave me sight. You were the
one who powered the light. A stranger to me... a strange to you... All my dreams faded away on this day.
When
you were robbed in a violent way. Only one had the authority to say it was your day. God didn't want you that way!
Like a thief in the night you were taken away. Whose choice was it to say?
I now see the irony of Poetic Justice.
On that night you really touched us. From then on, in that too, I believed. Your visions and your talents were
easy to see. You were a hero to many, even me.
So... when I heard the news. It gave me the blues. I didn't
want it to be true. Because I knew there was nothing I could do.
So... I bowed my head to pray for you. I
asked the LORD to guide and protect you through your journey. And to comfort your family with an embrace. And
to keep them all safe and warm well after the storm.
Your legacy will live on in our hearts, where you have become
a vital part.
In loving memory of Tupac Amaru Shakur. May you forever rest in peace! -June 16, 1971-September

LISTENING TO THE LYRICS OF MY IDOL TUPAC SHAKUR I LEARNED WHEN I FALL TO STAND TALL AND COME BACK 4 MORE
FORTUNE
AND FAME DIDN'T COME QUICK TO HIM BUT HE KEPT TRYING AND WAITED KNOWING THAT IF IT DIDN'T COME HIS THUG LIFE STYLE AND
COURAGE COULD NEVER BE FADED
HE HAD MORE COURAGE, AMBITION, AND DESIRE THAN MOST HE THREW UP "WESTSIDE", LOVED
HIS DEATH ROW, AND DESPISED THE EAST COAST
IN '94 HE SHOWERED WITH BULLETS THAT NEARLY MARKED HIS DEATH HE THEN
CLAIMED TO BE A "BADBOY" KILLA UNTIL HIS LAST BREATH
DOWN WITH SUGE KNIGHT, SNOOP DOGG, AND THE POUND HIS LYRICS
AND STLYE TOUCHED THOSE WHOM ARE DOWN
LOOKING TO CLAIM THE LIVES OF BIGGY SMALLS AND MOBB DEEP KNOWING THOSE TWO
HAD NIGHTMARES OF PAC AT NIGHT IN THEIR SLEEP
HE TALKED ABOUT RISING FROM VIOLENCE BUT LOVING YOUR HOOD TO THOSE
LESS FORTUNATE HIS WORDS WERE TOUCHING, BUT YET UNDERSTOOD
SOCIETY LABELED HIM AS EVIL, VIOLENT, AND VILLIAN BUT
HIS WORDS PRAISED ALL COLORS AND SHOWED LOVE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN
BIGGY SMALLS TRIED TO CLAIM 2 PAC'S LAST BREATH
BUT IN MARCH OF '97 BIGGY MET HIS OWN TRAGIC DEATH
THE SO CALLED DEATH OF TUPAC, ALSO KNOWN AS MAKAVELLI, LEFT
THE RAP INDUSTRY AND THE WORLD AT HAULT, NOT KNOWING IF WHAT HAPPENED WAS HIS OWN OR SOCIETIES FAULT
PAC DEAD
OR ALIVE, IF YOU OUT THERE SOME WHERE YOUR LYRICS LIVE ON, YOUR STYLE IS MISSED, AND MANY STILL CARE
